This Privacy Statement explains our policies regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of information collected when you access our system design blueprints, interactive simulations, and interview prep studios.

We collect only the minimum necessary information required to deliver high-quality, personalized software engineering training:
Account Profile Data
Email address, optional display name, hashed passwords, and OAuth provider IDs (Google or GitHub) when you register or sign in.
Learning Progress
Completed curriculum chapters, claimed free products, saved custom architecture canvas layouts, and FAANG interview studio rubric scores.
Transaction Metadata
Payment order identifiers, purchased subscription tier (Starter or Pro), billing cycle, amount paid, and invoice timestamps.
Diagnostic Telemetry
Anonymized IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and simulator runtime logs used to diagnose WebSocket latency and prevent scraper abuse.
03 Payment Data & Zero-PAN Guarantee
All financial payments are handled through PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment gateways:
- Razorpay: Encrypts and processes Indian Rupees (INR) cards, net banking, and UPI transactions.
- Stripe: Processes international credit and debit cards in USD or local currencies using direct browser-to-Stripe tokenization.
- UPI Payment Switches: Authenticates instantaneous mobile payments via NPCI protocols.
We receive only an encrypted payment confirmation token, order ID, and transaction verification hash required to unlock your Pro or Starter subscription.
04 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect strictly for the following purposes:
- Authentication & Security: To verify your identity, send 6-digit one-time password (OTP) verification codes, and prevent unauthorized account hijacking.
- Automated Notifications: To deliver immediate, personalized Welcome onboarding emails and official payment tax receipts via Gmail SMTP relay.
- Cross-Device Learning Sync: To persist your curriculum completion status, saved interview scorecards, and interactive playground diagrams across your devices.
- Service Reliability & Abuse Defense: To detect malicious bots attempting to scrape proprietary architecture blueprints or overwhelm our interactive packet simulator.
05 Third-Party Service Providers
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to data brokers or third parties. We share data only with trusted infrastructure providers required to operate ArchitectVerse:
- OAuth Providers: Google and GitHub for secure identity verification.
- Payment Processors: Razorpay and Stripe for PCI-compliant billing and invoice generation.
- Email Relay: Secure Gmail SMTP infrastructure for transactional account confirmations and receipts.
- Hosting & Analytics: Vercel for high-performance edge compute, CDN caching, and privacy-respecting performance telemetry.

- Encryption in Transit: 100% of network traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted using modern TLS 1.3 protocols.

08 Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

09 Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account details and progress logs for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account or submit an erasure request to privacy@architectverse.com, all personally identifiable profile records are permanently scrubbed from our active databases within 14 business days, with the exception of anonymized tax invoices required for statutory financial audits.
10 Children’s Privacy
ArchitectVerse is designed for software engineers, engineering students, and technology professionals. Our service is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
